Ode to 22 years of God's Grace

In honor of turning another year older tomorrow, I have compiled a list of 22 new things I did throughout the past year while I was 22.  God has been so gracious in drawing me closer to Himself through circumstances that always at the time seemed insurmountable.  I am so thankful to Him for His plan for my life, because if life had happened my way I probably wouldn't have had the majority of these opportunities.  So here goes.... (They are mostly in chronological order)

New things I did during my 22nd year:

1.)  First time completely in charge of a classroom of students (student teaching!!...and subbing!)

2.) First wine tasting

3.) First time galloping on a horse

4.) First international flight

5.) First time out of North America

6.) First time to Africa!!

7.) Ate goat, as well as fresh fish with bones ;-)

8.) Taught in a school in another country

9.) Moved into an apartment, just me and the sis :-)

10.) First real interviews

11.) Learned how to wakeboard

12.) First time white water rafting

13.) First time to Cheyenne Frontier Days

14.) First job at a church

15.) First "adult job"...at an elementary school :-)  (which also includes other new things such as laminating, die cutting, and binding books!)
16.) Got trained to help out in the SIED room at my school

17.) First time to the Irish Festival (and watching real jousting)

18.) I get to be in a musical!! (It's been a life dream)
19.) I get to be a silent monk in the Hallelujah Chorus (which let's admit, is just awesome!)

20.) First time leading a Bible study

21.) First time carving a pumpkin/ eating pumpkin seeds

22.) First "ultra sound" (don't freak out....it was on my knee at PT! haha)

As you can see, it's been an adventuresome year! God has brought me so many places I never expected, and through several trials that were difficult for me to see past...but I am so thankful for my awesome "anchor beyond the veil."
